I was asked to blog about a great educational moment that happened to me. I'm thinking of the time when i had a very determined teacher to help me graduate high school. She was the one that futhered my interest in computers and technology. I wouldnt be here in the field im at if it wasnt for her. I believe that she was the single most inportant person that inspired me to futher myself in IT.
Here we go again

It's amazing how teachers can influence their students for the rest of their lives!
ReplyDeleteAlso-- who is in the picture? I'd love a caption on the picture!
Isn't great to have a person who takes the time to actually show you that they care. Just remember the circle of life and that hopefully you will be the inspiration to someone also.

Your blog is an evidence of the reason I teach- to make a difference in my students' lives. I's great that you had this teacher. Now you can make a difference in the lives of the students you work with every day at school. Even though you say that you are not a teacher, you are a big influence in the lives of the kids and help them in more ways than you can imagine!
ReplyDeleteRobert - our challenge this coming year is to get your EACPA 6th graders to tinker, to take hardware and software apart, to build models, understand, invent, create and imagine! We must give them a chance to fall in love with technology like you did when you were younger!
